Dr. Harinder Sandhu Periodontist

Dr. Harinder Sandhu maintains an active periodontal specialty practice, and is a prolific researcher, especially in the area of periodontics. He has published numerous papers on clinical outcomes of periodontal procedures.

After completing his initial dental training at Guru Nanak University in India, Dr. Sandhu earned his Ph.D. in Anatomy from the University of Ottawa. He received his Certificate in Periodontics in 1985 from Loma Linda University and was supported by MRC of Canada during his pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training. He joined Western in 1985 as a Career Scientist of the Ontario Ministry of Health, joined the Faculty of Dentistry in 1987 and was promoted to the rank of full professor in 1998.

Dr. Sandhu has received numerous academic awards and invitations to provide lectures on Periodontology worldwide. He spent many years serving in leadership capacities at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at Western University as a Director, as Vice-Dean, as the Chair of the Periodontics Division, and as the Chair of the Admissions Committee in Dentistry.

Dr. Sandhu enjoys exploring different approaches to medicine, business and economics, and is always interested in discussing new ideas. He enjoys traveling, learning and sharing his knowledge with others. Dr. and Mrs. Sandhu enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. They are avid travelers who often participate in special occasions with family and friends throughout North America and India.

Dr. Gurbaz Sandhu

Dr. Gurbaz Sandhu enjoys interacting with all his patients and also the staff and their families who operate the London North Dental Centre. He believes that no one person should hold all the power in an organization and therefore frequently asks for input from the top non-dentist administrators at the clinic. He is the middle child of three, and found his calling in dentistry, and later as a husband and father as well.

Dr. Sarmed Kaddory

Dr. Sarmed Kaddory’s practice focuses on endodontics (root canal therapy), and he has earned his reputation for expertise and compassionate care in this area. His journey from Europe to Canada has been defined by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and a holistic approach to dentistry, encompassing wisdom teeth extraction, family dentistry, restorations and wide array of dental treatments using state-of-the-art techniques.

From a young age, Dr. Kaddory possessed an unwavering passion for dentistry. As second generation dentist, he grew up around the practice of oral healthcare with both parents and brothers also being dentists in the London community. In his spare time, Dr. Kaddory likes traveling and spending time with his family.

Dr. Adam Hasanee Pediatric Dentist

As both a board-certified pediatric dentist and a father of two young daughters, Dr. Adam Hasanee knows the importance of making kids feel comfortable at the dentist. With specialized training in pediatric dentistry from the University of Minnesota and hands-on experience as a dad, Adam is committed to creating a playful, stress-free environment for your little ones.

Dr. Hasanee has degrees in Earth Science and Kinesiology from the University of Toronto and York University. He completed his dental training at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. His passion for children’s health led him to advanced training at Montreal Children’s Hospital and McGill University where he completed a General Practice Residency. Adam then completed the Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Minnesota.

In his office, Adam’s top priority is making dental visits fun—sometimes even being goofier than his patients! His goal is to help children build healthy oral habits by making early dental care a positive experience.

Dr. Spencer Gibbs Periodontist

As a dedicated certified periodontist, Dr. Gibbs is unwavering in his commitment to delivering exceptional care to his patients. His primary goal is to help them maintain their natural teeth or explore alternative treatment options for those with missing teeth. Dr. Gibbs is able to perform all periodontal procedures under the administration of IV anaesthesia by the anaesthesia team at London North Dental Specialists.

Dr. Gibbs embarked on his clinical journey at Loma Linda University in southern California, where he honed not only the clinical skills necessary for a proficient clinician but also developed a profound passion for community outreach and service. This passion led to the creation of student programs designed to enhance access to care for underserved populations. Dr. Gibbs completed his periodontics certification at Loma Linda University, where he expanded his expertise in various surgical techniques, including gum grafts, dental implant placement, and conscious (IV) sedation.

In September 2023, Dr. Gibbs achieved recognition as a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in the field of Periodontics. He currently resides in the London area with his wife and their newborn daughter. In his leisure time, he cherishes moments spent with his family, indulges in good movies, and continually strives to refine his golf skills, which he would describe as "inadequate."

Dr. Omid Azami Oral Surgeon

Dr. Omid Azami is a general dentist with a special interest and training in oral surgery and dental implants. After a few years of general practice, he was lucky to be accepted into a competitive OMFS Resident Dentist role at the renowned Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne where I received extensive training in oral surgery. This surgical base allowed him to then focus his attention to dental implant surgery, working in a large All-on-4 dental group and gaining broad exposure to advanced dental implant procedures. In 2021, Dr. Azami completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Dental Implants through the Implant Institute and Cambridge Academy of Dental Implantology and traveled to Mexico in 2022 for live patient training in advanced grafting procedures.

Dr. Sharat Pani

Originally trained in India, he completed his Specialty Assessment and Training from the University of British Columbia and is certified as a pediatric dentist in Canada. Dr. Pani has an academic background, previously serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Western Ontario and has more than 50 papers published in peer reviewed journals.

Dr Pani has a keen interest in dentistry for individuals with special healthcare needs and has trained as a fellow at the prestigious BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. He is currently the president elect of the Canadian Society for Disability and Oral Health and serves on the executive of the International Association for Disability and Oral Health.

A Londoner since 2019, he lives here with his wife and son and enjoys hiking and biking the trails in and around London. For someone who first saw snow when he moved to Canada, he has developed a passion for running in the snow and a love for the Great White North. Passionate about ensuring access to dental care to all Canadian children, Dr. Pani is proud to serve the children of London, Port Elgin and beyond.

Lisa Rizzo Regional Manager

Lisa’s dental journey began 24 years ago as a chairside Dental Assistant; she found her passion for patient care immediately, seeing the emotions of others anxiously awaiting treatment. Lisa wanted a safe and comfortable environment they could learn to trust.

Trust and compassion were the first steps to her long-lasting patient relationships.

After years of understanding patients’ vast individual needs, she became part of the growth and development leadership team. She helped create a high standard of care delivered with each patient visit.

This led Lisa to a role as a Practice Manager, where she enjoyed working with the dental teams and the operational side of the business for the last five years.
